Specially designed for people with Parkinson’s or other movement disorders. Come alone or with a caregiver/partner. Enjoy live music and move to feel energized. The class is for all skill levels. The gentle poses are modified for the individual, although participants must be able to stand unassisted and have no significant blood pressure fluctuations as they change positions. Tai Chi For Parkinson’s and Wellness a Chinese exercise of slow circular movements that help promote energy flow and a sense of well-being. This Tai Chi can be done standing or sitting in a chair. You will receive multiple benefits either way. This class is designed to help improve the following: balance, coordination, concentration, srength and mental well-being. The cost is $5 per session. Attend seven sessions and the eighth session is free. As a beginner, your FIRST Session is FREE. New participants are welcome come the first Monday of the month at 10 a.m. for orientation.
